SWTCH Partners with 1VALET to Eliminate App Fatigue for Multifamily EV Charging

November 7, 2025

SWTCH has recently announced a strategic partnership and platform integration with 1VALET, a premier resident engagement platform for multifamily properties.

The partnership enables residents to manage their EV charging directly through their existing 1VALET Resident App, eliminating the need to juggle multiple applications to use their building’s amenities.

A Premium Charging & Resident Services Experience

The integration directly addresses “app fatigue” – a growing frustration where residents must navigate a sea of applications to control different building systems.

With this integration, residents can perform all EV charging tasks from the familiar 1VALET interface:

  • View real-time charger status and availability across the property.
  • Initiate, monitor, and pay for charging sessions in their building.
  • Receive notifications when their charging is complete.
  • Avoid downloading and registering for a separate EV charging application.

“We’re making EV charging as convenient and intuitive as any other building amenity,” said Rick Hardy-Cheam, Director of Strategy at SWTCH. “Instead of managing charging through a separate app, residents can now handle everything through the platform they already know and use. It’s about creating that seamless, premium experience that modern residents expect.”

For property managers, this unification reduces resident confusion, simplifies support requests, and boosts the value of their technology investment.

Meeting the EV Adoption Wave

As the number of EVs on the road continues to rise, the demand for convenient, demand for at-home charging is surging, making it a critical amenity for modern multifamily buildings. These properties face a dual challenge: providing the EV amenities residents demand while avoiding the technology complexity that frustrates daily life. The SWTCH-1VALET integration offers a “one pane of glass” solution that solves both challenges.

“Our residents told us they loved having EV charging available, but they wanted something more convenient than having to download yet another app,” said Hanna Haddad, Chief Product Officer at 1VALET. “This integration gives them the charging access they want through the app they already use every day to access the rest of their services at home.”

Implementation and Availability

The integrated solution is immediately available to properties currently using both SWTCH charging solutions and 1VALET’s resident engagement platform. New and existing clients of either company can contact their representative to explore adding the complementary service.
