NorthX and BC Hydro Invest in Foreseeson to Power the Future of Fast EV Charging

November 7, 2025

Foreseeson Technology Inc. is proud to share a major milestone in its clean energy journey. As part of a joint $1.6 million investment from NorthX Climate Tech and BC Hydro, Foreseeson has been selected as one of three Canadian companies to accelerate the development of innovative energy storage solutions – a critical step toward making fast, convenient, and widely available EV charging a reality across British Columbia and beyond.

The widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is key to achieving a sustainable future, but it’s currently limited by two major challenges:

  • Insufficient charging infrastructure to support the rapidly growing EV market.
  • Long charging times that fall far short of the convenience drivers expect.

Today, most EVs rely on Level 1 or Level 2 chargers connected to the standard power grid. While effective, these options are too slow and inconvenient for large-scale adoption. On the other hand, fast DC chargers dramatically reduce charging time but typically require expensive electrical infrastructure upgrades and lengthy installation timelines.

For EV adoption to truly accelerate, charging must become as fast and accessible as refueling a gas-powered vehicle – ideally in about five minutes.

The Solution: Innovative Energy Storage Systems

Foreseeson is taking a groundbreaking approach to this challenge with Energy Storage System (ESS) units designed to power fast DC EV chargers, without requiring costly infrastructure upgrades.

By storing energy and delivering it quickly when needed, ESS units make it possible to install fast chargers virtually anywhere, including gas stations, commercial sites, and remote communities where grid capacity is limited. This solution not only eliminates high upfront costs but also dramatically shortens deployment timelines.

EV charging sites equipped with ESS will also be eligible for BC Hydro’s energy storage rebates, which cover up to 80% of the cost of the ESS unit -further reducing barriers to adoption and encouraging widespread deployment.

The Result: Driving EV Adoption Across BC

The benefits of this project extend far beyond technology. With NorthX Climate Tech’s support, Foreseeson’s ESS-powered charging solution is projected to enable the sale of approximately 3,700 additional EVs in British Columbia by 2027 – a 2% increase over current forecasts.

Most importantly, it will give EV drivers access to rapid, convenient charging (comparable to the time it takes to refuel a gasoline vehicle) without traveling long distances. This will be particularly transformative for rural and remote areas, where electrical infrastructure upgrades are often impractical or prohibitively expensive.

“Our vision for a sustainable future drives our innovation. This project brings us closer to that future by making fast EV charging accessible across British Columbia — including remote areas with limited electrical infrastructure. When every service station can charge an EV in five minutes — comparable to filling a gas tank — adoption will accelerate, helping BC achieve its goal of 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035.” — SU Moon, CEO, Foreseeson Technology Inc.

This investment marks a pivotal step in Foreseeson’s mission to enable cleaner transportation, accelerate EV adoption, and support Canada’s transition to a zero-emission future. By pairing advanced energy storage technology with fast charging infrastructure, we’re helping build a charging network that meets the needs of today’s drivers.
