Alberta Municipalities EV Charging Installation Rebate

Alberta Municipalities are proud to provide financial rebates for applicants to purchase and install electric vehicle charging stations in Alberta as part of the Electric Vehicle Charging Program (EVCP), funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) & Alberta Municipalities. 

The funding will cover up to 46% of your total project cost, which can be up to $100,000 in funding per location. Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations are eligible for the program.

Funding is available on a go-forward basis. Projects for which construction work has already started or EV charging equipment has already been ordered will not qualify.

Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to: 
  • Businesses
  • Condominium corporations
  • Cooperatives
  • Indigenous communities
  • Industry associations
  • Institutions and schools
  • Municipalities
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Others, on a case-by-case basis
