Schneider Electric Named World's Most Sustainable Company for the Third Consecutive Year by TIME Magazine and Statista

Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, has been named the “World’s Most Sustainable Company 2026” by TIME Magazine and Statista for the third consecutive year. The recognition, drawn from a ranking of 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential companies, reflects their long-standing commitment to making sustainability an integral part of its business strategy, governance, and performance.

Driven by its vision of advancing energy technology to power progress for all, Schneider Electric leverages its leadership in electrification, efficiency, and digitalization to deliver impact at scale.

“Being recognized by TIME and Statista for the third year in a row is an honour”, said Emily Heitman, president of Schneider Electric Canada. “As energy becomes increasingly central to growth, competitiveness, and progress, the need to use it more intelligently continues to grow. We believe energy intelligence is a key enabler of both efficiency and decarbonization, helping our customers create lasting value while reducing emissions. That belief has shaped Schneider Electric for many years and continues to guide how we innovate, operate, and advance energy technology.”

This year’s distinction is particularly significant, as Schneider Electric recently launched its new sustainability roadmap, Impact 2030. Designed around four strategic pillars, electrifying the world, reinventing the industry, unlocking human potential, and empowering local communities, the Group tracks its performance quarterly through measurable indicators, ensuring accountability at every level.

In the first quarter of the year, Schneider Electric reported a reduction of its Scopes 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions 82.5 per cent compared with the 2017 baseline, strengthening resilience across Schneider Electric’s own operations. Schneider Electric also reported:

  • 47.5 million MWh of energy saved or electrified for customers in Q1, directly reinforcing resilience and efficiency.
  • 20 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved and avoided this quarter alone.
  • The Group also continued to deploy its new future-designed framework, with 14 per cent of major offers in the design phase already demonstrating circular and environmental excellence.

Through Impact 2030, Schneider Electric also further strengthens its approach to engaging its ecosystem, recognizing that progress can only scale when partners move forward together. This begins with suppliers:

  • More than 1,100 suppliers were engaged in the Group’s Zero Carbon Pathway initiative in the first quarter, extending climate accountability deeper into the value chain.

In an increasingly uncertain and fragmented global environment, Schneider Electric also considers that lasting progress relies on strong local foundations. Communities and people act as local anchors for sustainable change, helping translate global ambitions into tangible local impact. During the first quarter of the year:

  • More than 2.8 million people benefited from sustainable electricity through community-focused solutions supported by Schneider Electric.
  • 113,000 people were upskilled through education and training programs developing technical skills related to energy, electrification and automation, bringing the cumulative number of people trained since 2009 to more than 1.2 million.

In addition to being ranked the World’s Most Sustainable Company by TIME and Statista for the third consecutive year, Schneider Electric is also the only company to have secured the #1 position in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 ranking twice, in 2021 and 2025, and has been named to the CDP Climate A List for 15 consecutive years.
