The world’s leading trade fair, Light + Building, is the meeting place for everyone involved in shaping the future of lighting, building technology and networked solutions. Under the motto “50 years. Pluggable. Reliable.”, Wieland Electric will once again be present in Frankfurt/Main from 8 to 13 March 2026, showcasing itself in Hall 12, Stand E71, as an experienced and reliable partner for building technology. For five decades, the company has stood for pluggable electrical installation systems that combine efficiency, flexibility and safety in planning and implementation.

Wieland Electric’s pluggable systems are more than just an installation alternative. They represent a strategic approach to modern building concepts. Decentralised structures, pre-assembled components and clearly defined interfaces reduce installation times and increase planning and execution reliability. The anniversary motto illustrates how experience, technological innovation and partnership-based cooperation intertwine within the company.

Experience new products live

This year, Wieland Electric is presenting two new products for modern building technology. With the RST® NRG flat cable system, the company is introducing a compact solution for structured and pluggable power distribution. Factory-pre-assembled cable harnesses enable quick installation and reduce complexity on the construction site. They are particularly suitable for infrastructure and outdoor applications. In addition, the second innovation, RST® DIRECT, enables the direct and permanent connection of lights and electrical devices without having to open them for the electrical connection. This increases process reliability and protects the warranty. Furthermore, RST® DIRECT ensures maximum operational safety thanks to high protection classes and mechanical coding.

‘What drives us is not the individual product, but the system behind it. When experience, pluggable installations and strong partners come together, the result is solutions you can rely on in the long term.’

Robert Gerhäußer, Head of Project Sales – Installation & Building Infrastructure at Wieland Electric

Comprehensive system solutions for modern building concepts

In addition to product innovations, Wieland Electric also presents proven system solutions for charging infrastructure, modular installations and sustainable cabling concepts. Whether for office buildings, residential construction or industrial environments, the concepts presented are based on 50 years of experience in developing holistic solutions. They enable flexible adaptations to changes in use, reduce installation and maintenance times, and create structured and clear energy distribution systems.

One example of this systematic approach is the proven Wieland PREFAB® system for industrialised residential construction. In a Berlin apartment building, the entire electrical installation was integrated into the precast concrete elements at the factory for the first time. There was no need for slot cutting and subsequent wiring on the construction site. The result is shorter construction times, fewer interfaces and a significantly higher degree of prefabrication, combined with a high level of planning reliability. Wieland Electric thus supports all those involved in construction in implementing their projects economically and efficiently, while at the same time ensuring long-term future security. From planning and processing to investment decisions, everyone benefits from choosing pluggable systems.

Partnership-based. Reliable. Future-oriented.

At Wieland Electric, reliability stands not only for tested product quality, but also for partnership-based cooperation on an equal footing. From consulting and planning to training and service, the company supports its customers throughout the entire life cycle of a building. Light + Building 2026 offers the perfect opportunity to directly examine requirements and work with the experts at Wieland Electric to develop solutions that combine efficiency, safety and flexibility in a sustainable manner.
