Enel X Way, Makers Of The JuiceBox EV Charger, Has Shut Down Its US & Canada Operations

October 16, 2024
On October 3, 2024, Enel X Way, the maker of the Juice Box EV Charger and numerous Level 3 Fast Chargers, announced that it was shutting down its entire North American charging operation.
The abrupt notice informed users that all Enel X way software and connected services would be discontinued in the USA and Canada. Residential Level 2 JuiceBox chargers will continue to be able to charge vehicles, however, they will lose smart connectivity, and the Enel X Way app will be discontinued and removed from the App Store. Commercial charging stations will lose functionality in the absence of software continuity.
United Chargers CEO Gleb Nikiforov and State of Charge Tom Moloughney sit down to discuss the closure of Enel X Way, what it means for their customers, what the next steps are, and how we can protect ourselves from similar situations in the future. This is an important video to watch if you own a JuiceBox or any commercial charging station.
